This is one of the best looking pipes I've ever had the pleasure of selling.
From what I've heard, the late 80's and early 90's were Bill Taylor's sweet spot of making quality Ashton pipes. This one is making a believer out of me.
This is a BIG and BEAUTIFUL Pipe. If you need me to send you more pictures of that grain, just say the word and I will. The chamber is big enough for me to insert my thumb and freely twirl it around. Should be a 2-3 hour smoker.
The walls are about 1/3 of an inch thick and although the Silver Rim is huge, the briar itself feels light. From everything I understand about Ashton's Oil Curing and Taylor's reputation and methods, this is going to be a fantastic smoker.
This pipe deserves to be the centerpiece in any English Pipe collection or Poker Collection.
